Band photos:
Jonathan
Scales
Fourchestra
Jonathan Scales is a long-time friend from his days living in Asheville and was one of the first musicians I remember photographing, probably sometime around 2005. So I was happy to accommodate Jonathan, E'Lon and Maison for a late-night photo session after they'd already put in a very long day in the recording studio.
Whenever I share images from various photo shoots over the years, I like to present bands I've worked with who display professionalism in every sense of the word, and Jonathan & crew fit the bill perfectly.

Even though it was late and they had been working out tracks in the recording studio all day, Jonathan, E'Lon and Maison brought their A-game to the photo shoot in attitude, appearance, and collaborative effort. They made my job easier, and in turn I was able to deliver a large number of amazing images the band can put to use as needed for the duration of their current album cycle and beyond.
After our previous shoot, Jonathan was able to milk the images I sent him, providing press and media outlets with fresh, unseen images for the better part of four years. Now, almost two years after this session, he's done just as well with this set of images, which have appeared all over the place, from tour posters and press to the band's website and NPR.
