I offer website management at several levels to ensure all clients' needs are covered, from hassle-free hosting services and maintenance to monthly updates and content management to ensure your presentation is professional and up to date at all times.
The duration of a web design varies depending on the size and complexity of the site, including the amount of pre-produced content provided, customization needs, client availability for photography, and number of revisions. A simple web layout with all content provided may take as little as ten days to two weeks, while the average buildout is usually 4-5 weeks.
A standard website is $2,400. This includes a home page, about page, services page, FAQ page, and contact page, as well as a hidden landing page stragetically designed for SEO leads; on-site headshots for staff of up to 5 individuals, group image and/or exterior imagery; content expansion for greater on-site SEO rankings, a responsive web design for easy viewing across all devices; and a layout and design aesthetic that adheres to ADA compliance standards.
Custom quotes are available for clients who require a more complex site structure, generally involving more navigable pages, a greater number of landing pages, additional photography needs and third-party plug-ins or applications.
To ensure the smoothest possible website buildout, there are three things I'll need from each client:
1) Information about your business
To maximize the content on your new website, I'll draw information for content from your current site, as well as any additional information you can provide that will help to expand the content we present on your site. The more content the better, so I'll do everything on my end to strategically expand the information you can provide to help boost your SEO rankings.
2) Time for Photography
Professional photography will set your site apart from the sites of your competitiors. I'll just need a brief window of time when everyone on your staff can be available for a professional headshot, as well as any other images that might enhance the presentation of your site, such as a group photo, or exterior images of your office or building.
3) Access to your DNS records, found with your domain name provider. Websites have two essential components: the domain name, such as www.sandlingaither.com, which is purchased from a domain name provider, like as GoDaddy.com, and the content, which is everything you see, such as text, photos, and information, contained within the pages of a website and hosted by a CMS, or content managment system, such as Duda.co, Squarespace, or Wordpress. If you already have a current website, I'll need access to something called the DNS records found with your domain name provider, which are simple boxes containing a few short codes that I'll need to access.
After your website is complete and published, it will be hosted on the CMS (Content Management System), Duda.co, at a monthly rate of $25 or ($19/month when paid annually), for which the client will assume repsonsibility. This is a common and competitive rate amongst most website content hosting platforms.
Each client has three options:
1) Transfer and full control of your website, in which you will have access to the backend of your website and will be responsible for monthly hosting payments.
2) Site Managment: I will maintain your site, including monthly payments, CMS updates, and any basic content updates, for $100/month.
3)Site Managment and Moderation: I will maintain your site, including monthly payments, CMS updates, basic content updates, as well as a monthly blog installment, featuring news and current, relevant info intended to boost SEO rankings, for $250/month.
Please note that these rates may be affected by any third-party applications or plug-ins required by the client, such as calendar and scheduling, e-commerce applications, etc.
